Column of Leaves muffatees (fingerless handwarmers) by KarinBole
Difficulty: Confident Beginner & beyond This design is based on the beautiful “Column of Leaves Scarf". Brooke's pattern can be found here: http://brookenelson.com/leafscarfpattern.html 1I loved it so much, that with my leftover yarn, I thought I'd design some handwarmers to match. Photographer: Karin B. SIZE Ladies medium glove size FINISHED MEASUREMENTS Length: 20 cm / 8 inches Width: $18\mathrm{cm}\:/\:7$ inches around han
MATERIALS
I used Patons Impressions hand-dyed wool. It is a single ply worsted weight (varied between worsted and sport in thickness), 50g / 1.75oz and 140m / 153y. Unfortunately, it is discontinued. Any worsted weight with a tension of 20 sts $=$ 10cm / 4 inches using 4.00-4.50mm / 6-7US needles would be suitable. 1 set 3.25mm / 3US double point needles (this pattern could easily be adapted to the two-circular method). Tapestry needle (to darn in ends)
GAUGE
$\mathbf{24}~\mathrm{sts}=\mathbf{10cm}\mathbf{\nabla}/\mathbf{4}$ inches in stockinette stitch (this is tighter than the usual worsted tension, it makes a warmer, denser fabric)
