Woven Slip Stitch Baby Blanket By Peg Baker

This blanket is truly reversible and interesting to knit. The pattern is basically a 4-row slip stitch pattern. This pattern can easily be modified to have a MC that runs as a solid background color throughout the blanket. To do so, purchase % the needed yarn as the MC and always use that yarn in rows 3 & 4. Rows 1 &2 can be changing colors. I used this concept in knitting the blanket, but I occasionally switched the color used in rows 3 & 4, thus changing the “background” color in addition to changing the colors used in Rows 1 & 2. Knit a swatch and you will understand perfectly. 're-washed—28.5"x45" (72x114cm); After washing—27.5"x43 (70x109cm) Rowan denim (100% cotton, 50 grams/102 yards) - 6 skeins Main Color (MC).
