Seed Stitch Cowl Knitting Pattern with Detailed Instructions and Abbreviations

Seed Stitch Cowl

Supplies

2 skeins Ariosa or 125 yards chunky yarn Size 11 needles, 24" circular or size needed to achieve gauge of 3 %2 sts per inch in seed stitch

Abbreviations

K - Knit K2tog - Knit two stitches together P - Purl Kfb - Knit into front and back of one stitch sts - Stitches 1x1 rib - \*K1, P1; repeat from \* to end of round following rounds - K into K sts, P into P sts

Directions

Cast on 92 stitches. Being careful not to twist, join for working in the round. Place beginning of round marker.

Beginning Edge

ib; two stitches before end of round on 3rd round K2toc

Body

Begin working in seed stitch - \*P1, Kl; repeat from \* to end of round. Following rounds - purl into knit stitches and knit into purl stitches. Continue in pattern for 5 1/2 inches.

Ending Edge

Row 1: Kfb in first stitch of round, then \*K1, Pl; repeat from \* to end of round. Rows 2 & 3: \*K1, P1; repeat from \* to end of round. Bind off loosely in pattern.
