K=Knit; P=Purl; sts=stitches; YO=Yarn Over: YO2=Yarn Over 2 times; K2tog=Knit 2 together; SSK=Slip,slip,Knit together
EASY GARTER STITCH SCARF
Using size 8 needles and 220 yards of worsted weight yarn, cast on 16 sts. Knit every row until scarf is approximately 53" long. Bind off.
LITTLE BLOCKS SCARF
Using size 8 needles and 225 yards worsted weight yarn, cast on 18 sts. Rows 1-4: (K3, P3) 3 times. Rows 5-8: (P3, K3) 3 times. Repeat above 8 rows for approx 53", ending with a Row 4 or 8. Bind off.
MOSS STITCH SCARF
Using size 8 needles and 180 yards worsted weight yarn, cast on 15 sts. Row 1: K1, (K1, P1) 6 times, K2. Repeat above row until scarf is approx 53" long. Bind off.
DROP STITCH SCARF
Using size 8 needles and 100 yards of worsted weight yarn, cast on 15 sts. Row 1-4: Knit 4 rows. Row 5: (K1, YO2) 14 times, K1. Row 6: Knit 6th row, dropping YO stitches as you go. Repeat above 6 rows, until scarf is approx 53" long, then K 4 rows. Bind off.
LACE SCARF
Using size 9 needles and 180 yards of worsted weight yarn, cast on 22 sts. Rows 1 & 3: Purl Row 2: K3, \*yO, K2, SSK, K2tog, K2, yO, K1; rep from \*, K1. Row 4: K2, \*yO, K2, SSK, K2tog, K2, yO, K1; rep from \*, K2. Repeat Rows 1-4 until scarf is approx 53" long, ending with Row 1. Bind off. (Other size needles or yarn can be substituted, as long as scarf is approx 4-5" wide and 52-54" long.) For Charity Knitting : make red for Women Heart or pink for Breast Cancer Patients!
