Baby Chalice Blanket
A baby or trolley blanket in the chalice lace pattern

About the pattern: Baby Chalice is a pattern for a simple baby blanket using the chalice lace pattern. The blanket is bordered by garter stitch, which provides a frame for the lace. The strong lines of the lace pattern, makes it suitable for both boys and girls. Size: The finished blanket measures approximately $24\mathrm{~x~}32$ inches. Materials: - 2 skeins of Lorna's Laces Worsted - 6mm circular needle or other needle to obtain gauge. - optional: 6mm crochet hook Gauge: 16 sts and 21 rows to a 4 inch square in the lace pattern.

Pattern:
Cast on 83 sts on a 6mm needle. Work 9 rows of garter stitch. Then begin lace pattern. The first 5 and last 5 stitches of each row is knit, creating a garter stitch border around the lace (this is also written in the following).
