A simple cowl using four separate patterns, connected together by joining the colors, is the perfect project to keep you entertained, yet not bored. This flexible pattern can be created any way you see fit; colors and layout. Lion Brand Heartland [1oo % Acrylic; 251 yds/ per 142 g skein] colors: (A) Acadia, (B) Black Canyon, and (C) Sequoia
Notes
\~This cowl is made in blocks. 4 patterns total are used. You may choose to put them in a different sequence. It's a continuous piece by adding additional colors. Have fun with this. Let your personality come through \~The letter in parenthesis is for the second repeat of 6 blocks. \~ALWAYS add your new color on the RS, so your new color strand is on the Ws.
Directions
CO 38 Sts Block 1: (RS) Using Color A, knit for 5 inches, ending with WS row. Block 2: (RS) Using Color B (C), work in pattern below: Rows 1, 3, 4, and 6-knit Rows 2 and 5-K3, p32, k3 Repeat this 6 row pattern a total of 5 repeats or 5 inches, ending with a WS row. Block 3: (RS) Using Color A, knit for 5 inches, ending with WS row. Block 4: (RS) Using Color C (B), work in pattern below: Rows 1 and 3-knit Row 2-K3, \*k3, p1; repeat from \* to last 3 sts, k3 Row 4--K3, \*p1, k3; repeat from \* to last 3 sts, k3 Repeat this 4 row pattern for a total of 7 repeats or 5 inches, ending with WS row. Block 5: (RS) Using Color A, knit for 5 inches, ending with WS row. Block 6: (RS) Using Color B (C), work in pattern below: Rows 1 and 4-knit Rows 2 and 3-K3, P32, k3 Repeat this 4 row pattern a total of 8 repeats or 5 inches, ending with WS row. Repeat these 6 blocks, alternating colors, using second color in parenthesis, as above until cowl measures 6o" - 7o", or desired length
Finishing
BO all stitches and weave in all loose strands. Without cutting the yarn from BO sts, leave a long enough tail, and with Rs facing each other, seam the two ends together. Fasten off and weave in end.
