Lucille the Pocket Bug Knit Pattern
Designed by: Laren McMordie A note about Lucile :

Lucile is a busy little bug that lovez to travel in pockets! Watch her to make sure she doesn't fall out of your pocket searching for her next great adventure! My favorite thing about knitting toys is that gauge isn't important! I recommend choosing your needles by reading the recommended needle size on your yarn's label and going down about 2 needle sizez. That way, no stuffing shows through your work! This pattern is licensed under a Creative Commons AttributionNonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Unported License.
For thiz pattern you will need :
Yarn: 15 yards of MC and 10 yards of CC Needles: One 32" or longer circular knitting needle OR a set of 4 double pointed needles Safety eyes Scissors Black embroidery thread Tapestry needle Stuffing (l use fiberfill)
Let's get started!
Head/Body:

Starting in MC... CO 5 sts and join in a round (be careful not to twist your sts!) Rl: KFB all sts (l0) R2: \*K1,KFB\*(repeat 5 times) (15) R3: K all sts (15) R4: \*K2,KFB\* (repeat 5 times) (20) R5-6: K all sts (20) R7: \*K2,K2tog\* (repeat 5 times) (15) R8: K all sts (15) R9: \*K1,K2tog\* (repeat 5 times) (10) Attach Lucille's safety eyes and embroider her mouth now, and make sure and center her mouth between her eyes (about one row down). Add her antennas by threading 2 pieces of scrap CC yarn through the top of her head, on opposite sides. Make sure and knot the tips of the yarn so they don't fray! Then stuff her head. Switch to CC. Rl0: K all sts (10) R11: KFB all sts (20) R12-16: K all sts (20) R17: \*K2, K2tog\* (repeat 5 times) (15) Stuff Lucille's body. R23: \*K2tog\* (repeat 5 times) (5) Cut your yarn and thread it through your remaining live sts using a tapestry needle, pulling tightly to bind off. Wings (make 2): Starting in MC... CO 6 sts and join in a round (be careful not to twist your sts!) R1-4: K all sts (6) Cut your yarn and thread it through your remaining live sts using a tapestry needle, pulling tightly to bind off. Attach Lucille's wings to her body now, I like to place them on the very top row of CC.
