Bryson's daddy Blake is an avid bow hunter, so how could I resist the feather and fan knit stitch for Baby Bryson's blanket. The feathers in the pattern represent the feathers on the hunter's arrow and the fan in the pattern represents the turkey's fan. Bryson came into this world about 10 weeks early, so it will be a while before he is ready to go turkey hunting with Dad. Right now Dad is content to hold his new son. The pattern is worked in multiples of 18 so you can make the blanket as large or as small as you desire. I used circular needles to accommodate the large number of stitches Special stitches used Knit two stitches together - k2tog: Special Instructions: knit the first 5 stitches and the last 5 stiches of every row to form a garter stitchborder Directions: Cast on 154 stitches Row 1: knit every stitch Row 2: knit 5 stitches, purl 144 stitches, knit the last 5 stitches Row 3: knit 5 stiches, \*(k2tog) 3 times, (yo,k1) 6 times, (k2tog) 3 times; repeat from \* across to the last 5 stitches, knit the last 5 stitches Row 4: knit every stitch Repeat Rows 1-4 until your baby blanket is about 35 inches Block lightly, and give to that special little one in your life!
