MATERIALS:
Aluminum Crochet Hook - Size H · 2CDs Bottle cap Craft needle for attaching knob tolid and for weaving in ends Plastic Yarn (NOTE: 12-1”strips perstandard size plastic bag $=6$ yards): Brown with Black (Publix) or White with Black (Winn Dixie) plastic yarn - ■ approx 20 - 25 plastic bags or approx 150 yards; Black plastic yarn ■ ABC Liquors - Approx 10 plastic bags Or Ruffies Trash Bags - Approx 2 bags SIZE: Width: 3", Height: 5" CARE INSTRUCTIONS: Machine wash and air dry (Yes, this can stil be thrown into the washer.)

Helpful Tips:
· Read through paten instructionsbeforebegiing. This wil save you time later when weaving in your ends. The 'ch' at the begining of the roud orrow is nt considered thefrs st but is used as a flleror starter to make thefrstst as directd. Base/Lid - The # of sl sts made around the CD will determine the width of basket sides and lid. Stretch your work after every couple of rows. This wil give you a more realistic view of what you have completed to that point.
Instructions:
Base - (Make 2) Starting wth black plastic yarn, cover the CD completely with 55 sc.

Basket -

Loping StripsTgether: Hag2strifrmyourhand.Using yooppsit hand,each throughthemidef 1stripandgrabthbotmoft $2^{n0}$ strip. Pull the 2nd stripthroughthe middeof 1# strip Drop the 1# stipfrom yourhand.You now have what lks like a T' as the 1 strip ishanging on topof $2^{n0}$ stip.

Whicheverhand you prefer, pulla strip through the centerofstrip on other hand. (In the picturebelow, the let hand went through the midle of strip in right hand.) Grab the strip that was pulled through and let goof other strip Looking at the picture below, th right hand drops the stripit is currentlyholding and it wilay on top of the let hand. The right hand grabs the strip from the lft hand. Using the available hand, grab the bottom strip and pullto make a knot. Your primary objective is to make as small knot as possible without breaking the strip. Breaking the strip is inevitable if you pull the strips too tight.

Important Tips:
Make theknt as small a it wl go.But remember, if you pul to tight, oneof thestrip willbeak. Make sure the 2-strand strips are even. There's nothing more inconvenient when crocheting or kniting wth plastic yarn then to have to work with extra plastic on one of the strips. When adding a new strip, on Step #7 -grab the previous knot made when puling the new strip with the opposite hand to make the knot. This willhelp keepthe2-srandseven.
Forming the Ball
