Pattern 27 Pretty Scarf or Neck warmer
Crochet Level - Advanced Beginner Special Note- This scarf, neck warmer, or even a belt can be made with any type of non fuzzy yarn from thread up to worsted weight. Customize your scarf to suit your style, by adding different colors if so desired. Also, you determine the length as you go along to really make it your own.
Materials Needed
Crochet hook- determined by type of yarn used Yarn- non fuzzy thread, sport, baby, dk weight, worsted weight will all work great (amount will depend on length of scarf you want) Yarn used in photos, white and purple scarf using worsted weight yarn with an I hook and multi purple scarf made with vintage size 10 thread and a steel #3 hook.

Gauge- none given, as each scarf will be different depending on hook and yarn use
Scarf Directions
Ch 13 Row1: Sc in 2"d ch from hook, continue to sc across ch. 12 sc made.

Row2: Ch3 (counts as first dc here and throughout) turn, dc across. 12 dc made. Rows 3 and 4: Rep row 2 Row5: Ch3 turn, Work one dc in next 2 dc, ch 6, sk next 6 dc, work one dc in last 3 dc. 6 dc made and one ch6. Row6: Ch3 turn, Work on dc in next 2 dc, ch6, work one dc in last 3 dc. Row7: Rep row 6. Row8: Ch1 turn, sc in same st, work one sc in next 2 dc, ch3, work one sc around all 3 ch6 from previous 3 rows (see photos below for example), ch3, work one sc in last 3 dc. 7 sc made and 2 ch3.

Row9: Ch3 turn, work one dc in next 2 sc, ch6, work one dc in last 3 sc. same st, sc in next 2 dc, work 6 sc around ch6, work one sc in last 3 dc. 12 sc made. Rows 11-13: Rep row 2. 12 dc made. Row14: Rep row 5 Rows 15 and 16: rep row 6 Row17: Rep row 8

Rows 18-20: rep row 6. Row21: Rep row 8 Rows22- to 3 quarters of desired length: Continue to rep rows 18-21, until 3 quarters of desired length is reached making sure you finish on row 21. Do not finish off. Continue with finishing rows directions below.
Finishing Rows Directions
Row1: Rep row 9 of scarf directions n3 turn, dc in next 2 dc, work 6 dc around ch6, work one dc in last 3 dc. 12 dc made. Rows 3 and 4: Rep row 2 of scarf directions. Row5: Ch1 turn, sc in same st, sc across. 12 sc made. Row6: Rep row 5 of scarf directions. Rows 7 and 8: Rep row 6 of scarf directions.


Row9: Rep row 8 of scarf directions. Row10: Rep row 9 of scarf directions. Row11: rep row 2 of finishing directions. Rows12 and 13: Ch3 turn, dc across. Row14: ch1 turn, sc in same st, sc across. 12 sc made. Do not finish off will be working on edging.
Edging Directions
Rndl: Ch1 turn, sc in same st, ch2, sl st in 2nd ch from hook, \* sc in next st, ch2, sl st in 2d ch from hook \* rep from \* \* across, then continue to work \* \* evenly down side of scarf, other end of scarf and the other side of scarf.
