Your coffee travels in space and time- or at least it will look that way inside this TARDIS-inspired knit cup cozy. You can ditch the little paper collars and broadcast your love for Doctor Who. nit this with a little bit of yarn and a little bit of time- then go drink your coffe Knitter level: Advanced Beginner - Knit in the round, small amount of colorwork. Finished size: Fits most "to go” cups, approximately 8" in circumference by 3” tall Materials: Worsted weight wool (or equivalent) in the bluest TARDIS blue you can find, and white. About 0.5 oz (14 g) total amount of yarn (mostly Blue, a small amount of White). Size US #6 (3.75 mm) double pointed needles or to meet gauge. Per example: Patons Classic Wool Options: Tapestry needle Gauge: 9 stitches to 2 inches blocked.
Pattern:
Cast 36 stitches onto the needles using long stranded cast on and Blue, divide stitches onto 3 or 4 double pointed needles. Join on first row, being careful not to twist. Place a stitch marker at join if desired. Row 1: <K1, P1> around to marker R2-4: Repeat for 1x1 ribbing. R5,6: K around R7: <K1, P3> around R8-10: Repeat R7. Repeat Rows 5-10 once more. R17: K around R18: <K1 blue, K3 white> around R19,20: <K1 blue, K1 white, K1 blue, K1 white> around R21: <K1 blue, K3 white> around R22,23: K around (in blue) R24: <K1,P1> around R25: <P1,K1> around R26,27: Repeat previous 2 rows for 4 rows of seed stitch.
