Grandma's Darling.
ket is actually very simple to knit although the lace looks very intricati Materials:

● 3mm needles (UsA 2.5) (Imperial 11) or size to get gauge desired. Straight or circs as preferred, long enoughfor all thestitches! 300 grams baby (or fingering) yarn. 6-8 stitch markers (optional but useful for pattern repeats.) Ribbon to thread through eyelets. ● Gauge: 32 stsx36 rows = 4" (10 cm) measured over pattern section. As it is a blanket this isn't very important but a different gauge will give a different sized blanket.

Pattern instructions.
Cast on 202 sts or number for number of pattern repeats desired. Add or subtract 34 sts if changing the number of repeats. My sample blanket has 5 pattern repeats across. The final number of stitches must be a multiple of 34 stitches + 32 sts for the 16-stitch borders, i.e., 16 sts each side. Any cast on method can be used. I used a cable cast on. Note: I slip the first stitch of every row and knit the last stitch. This is not included in the instructions as it is optional. I prefer it for a neater border.
1) Work in seed stitch for 16 rows.
2) Eyelet section. Note: The border consists of 10 stitches done in seed stitch, with a 6-stitch stockinette panel on the side. This panel is where you put the eyelet holes for the ribbon. For the sake of brevity, the row-by-row instructions do not include the first 10 stitches; they will simply be referred to as "border". It will be helpful to place a marker after the first 16 stitches and before the last 16 stitches to demarcate the border. 1) Seed stitch border (10 st).
