Baby Grands Cardigan
There are two versions of this raglan, top down pattern - one for girls and one for boys. There are two differences. In the Girls' version, the Button Band, Collar, Hems of Body and Sleeves are worked in Seed stitch. The button holes are worked on the Right-side Button Band. In the Boys' version, the Button Band, Collar, Hems of Body and Sleeves are worked in 1 x 1 Ribbed stitch. The button holes are worked on the Left-side Button Band. Sl 1 as if to knit, Purl to end (wrong side). Repeat for all wrong side rows unless otherwise indicated.

Sl 1, inc in next stitch. \*Knit to 1 st before marker. Inc in next stitch, Sl marker, K1, inc in next stitch, K3, inc in next st, K1, SM, K1, inc in next stitch. Knit to 2 stitches before next marker, inc in next stitch. K1, SM, K1, inc in next stitch. Knit to 2 stitches before next m, inc in next stitch. K1, SM, K1, inc in next stitch, K1.\*

Sl1 inc in next 2 stitches on left needle, K1. Continue as from \* to \* in Row 3. Repeat Rows 2 & 3 18 more times.
Row 19:
Sl 1, K to marker, sl marker, K1, inc in next stitch. Knit to 2 stitches before next marker, inc in next stitch, K1, SM, K1 inc in next stitch. Knit to 2 stitches before next marker, inc in next stitch, K1, SM, K1, inc in next stitch. Knit until 2 before next marker, inc in next stitch, K1, SM. Knit to end. Row 20: Repeat Row 2 Repeat Row 19 & Row 2 3 more times. Row 27: Knit to two stitches past first marker (30 sts), put sleeve stitches onto waste yarn (33 sts). Cast on 4 stitches under sleeve using Backward Loop method. Continue knitting across back to next marker (47 sts), put sleeve stitches on waste yarn (33 sts). Cast on 4 stitches under sleeve using Backward Loop method. Continue row to the end (no increases). Knit straight (no increases) until work measures 8 inches from cast on edge at collar. Work 6 rows of Seed stitch. Bind off in pattern. Sleeves: Put sleeve stitches on needle and work straight (no increases) until work measures 6 inches from under arm. Work 6 rows of Seed stitch. Bind off in pattern. Work same for both sleeves. Collar & Button Bands: Pick up one stitch for each slipped stitch along the Left Button Band. Pick up each stitch around the collar. Turn work.
