Materials:
Arucania Nature Cotton (105 yd in 100g); 2skeins Needles: 5.5 mm straights 5.5 mm double points Darning needle Finished measurements: Size 5: chest 21" circumference Gauge: 15 sts in $3\!x\!Z$ rib slightly stretched
Abbreviations:
PM: place marker SI 1: slip one stitch from left needle to right needle PSSO: pass the slipped stitch on rt needle over the sts just worked. Decreases by 1 st.
DIRECTIONS
Cast on 72 sts.

K1 (selvedge), work in K3, P2 rib to 1 st before end, K1 (selvedge). Repeat for 4 rows. Next row (RS): Work 26 sts as established, PM, work 4 repeats of stitch pattern (see chart) over 20 sts, PM, work remaining 26 as established. Continue in patt until piece measures 7 inches from beginning.

Shape back; Cast off 13 sts at beg of next 2 rows. 46 sts remain for bib front. Work even in patt as established for 2 rows.
Shape armholes:
Cast off 6 sts at beg of next two rows Work 2 rows even Cast off 4 sts at beg of next two rows. 26 sts remain
Shape neck:
Work 2 sts, cast off center 22 sts, Work 2 sts. Put live sts on stitch holder.
Begin i-cord edging:
With double pointed needle and new end of yarn, Cast on 3 sts. $1^{\mathrm{st}}$ row: K2, SI 1. With RS facing and 3sts on rt needle, pick up & Knit one st at top of center back. Slip the previous slipped st from rt needle over the last st just knit. 3 sts rem. Slide to other end of DPN (sts now on left). Knit 2, slip one. Pick up & knit 1 st from body. Slip st over. Slide to other end of needle. Continue in this manner, picking up edge stitches all along the back and armhole edge until you reach the top of the front. Add the live sts on onto right needle before sliding. Next row; Slide, K2, K3Tog . 3sts. Work i-cord until desired strap length. Bind off.

To work other side: Cast on 3 sts. K2, sl1. With WS facing, pick up and knit one st, slip the slipped st over. Continue edging along other side of garment, using live sts from top of bib as before and making i-cord strap the same length as other side.
Finishing;
Sew back seam. Sew straps to each side of back, or tie together as halter.
