Finished Size: 10.5 in. x 10.5 in. approx( after blocking) Materials: Universal yarn cotton supreme, Lily sugar cream, Bernat handicrafter, or Peaches and Creme Needles: 4.5 mm (uS 7) Abbreviations: K=knit lRtog = lnit two sts. together p=purl rpt=repeat st(s) =stitch(es) Note1: These dishcloths can be made in one color ortrimmed with a contrast band. Try solids or variegated yarns in your favorite colors. These make wonderful host/hostess gifts!
Pattern:
Using your main color (or contrast colorif making a contrasting band) and 4.5 mm needles, Cast on 37 sts. Knit 4 rows in garter st. (enit every row). Note 2: change to main color if making contrasting band dishcloth and knit one row. If you are wot changing colors, then you will work 5 rows of garter st.total from beginning Row 6: K 3 sts., purl to last 3 sts., K 3 sts.
Begin Windowpane Pattern:
\*\*Row 7: K4sts.,(krtog., yo, KI1, yo, katog., K1)\*; npt.from \* to last 3 sts, K3. Row 8: K3, purl to last 3 sts., K3. Rows 9-10: rpt. rows 7 g 8 owe time. Row 11: K next row Row 12: rpt. row 8 Rows 13-14: rpt. rows 11-12 owe tiwe. \*\*Rows 7-14 complete the patten. Rpt. pattern 5times(6total) Note 3: chg. to contrast color now if making a contrast band; continue as stated below. Knit next 4 rows in garter st. Cast off. weave in loose ends. C'est fini!
