Glam Collar
Measure your doggie's neck. With one strand each of both yarns, cast on 3 stitches. Knit in garter stitch until collar length is the neck measurement plus 1 inch (2 for larger doggies). Don't knit too tightly. You want the collar to have some give to it. On last row, slip one stitch, knit two together, pass slipped stitch over. Cut yarn like this: novelty yarn leaving about 2 inch tail and the sportweight yarn with about a 12 inch tail. Pull them through the remaining stitch and transfer this stitch to the crochet hook. Weave in the novelty yarn to get it out of the way. With the crochet hook, chain about 6-8 stitches to make a loop for the button closure. Slip stitch into the same stitch as the beginning chain. Fasten off and weave in yarn ends. Sew on button. Make a big fuss as you put your new Glam Collar on your doggie to model!
