Chain 4, sl st to form a ring Round 1: Ch 2, hdc 9 into ring, sl st to the top of ch 2 (10 hdc) Round 2: (BLO) Ch 2, hdc in same, \*(2 hdc in next st), repeat from \* around, sl st to the top of ch 2 (20 hdc) Round 3: (BLO) Ch 2, 2 hdc in next st, \*(hdc, 2 hdc), repeat from \* around, sl st to the top of ch 2 (30 hdc) Round 4: (BLO) Ch 2, hdc, 2 hdc, \*(hdc, hdc, 2 hdc), repeat from \* around, sl st to the top of ch 2 (40 hdc) Round 5: (BLO) Ch 2, hdc, hdc, 2 hdc, \*(hdc, hdc, hdc, 2 hdc) repeat from \* around, sl st to the top of ch 2 (50 hdc) Round 6-13: (BLO) Ch 2, hdc around, sl st to the top of ch 2 (50 hdc) If you worked your hat in a continuous round you can start the brim, if not, please cut yarn, fasten off and weave in end. Now you will center the brim in the front of the hat, leaving the seam in the back.

Ch 21, hdc in the 3rd st, hdc across band, work 4 hdc in last st, turn upside down, continue to work hdc across, 3 hdc in last st, sl st to first st. Leave a long tail for sewing to hat. Center the band above the brim and sew around edge. Attach 1 inch buttons to each side of the decorative band.

Chunky Cowl - K Hook and Super Bulky Yarn

The picture shows the cowl, but I felt that was a litle too long. (160 st) So we will shorten this one a bit ? Chain 145, slip stitch to first chain to form a large ring. (You can place this around your neck, or double it up to make sure it is the length you want. Remember it will by about nine rows wide. 6") Round 1: Ch 2, hdc in each stitch around. Sl st to the top of the ch 2, be careful to not twist your band. Make sure it is all straight before you continue. Round 2: Ch 2, work in back loops only, hdc around, sl st to ch 2 Round 3: Ch 2, work in front loops only, hdc around, sl st to ch 2 Repeat rounds 2 and 3 till it is the desired height. Fasten off and weave in ends. (Mine was9rows) What a quick and easy project that was! Hope you had fun. @ Copyright Notice: You have permission to sell the finished product locally and online.
