Maia's Hat
A quick and easy earflap hat. Sizes: Newborn (6/9mo, 1/2y, 3/5y, adult). Finished measurements: 14 % (16, 18, 19 %, 22 %) inches [36 % (41, 45 %, 49, 57 %) cm] circumference. Yarn: Lana Grossa Mega Stoppino ( $35\%$ VirginWool, $35\%$ Acrylic; 99yds [90m] / 1.76 ounces [50g]): 1 (1, 1, 1, 2) skeins. This yarn is discontinued, use something similar in content and weight, preferably a yarn with wide color repeats) Hook $\mathfrak{c}:\mathsf{S i z e\ K}/10\,\%\,(6.5\,\mathsf{m m})$ Gauge: 11 hdc blo and 8 rounds $=4$ inches $(10\;\mathsf{c m})$ Notes: The hat is worked from the top down in a spiral without joining rounds. Put a marker on first stitch of round to keep track. From top to brim, all sts are worked through the back loop only (blo). The earflaps are worked in rows and alternate between back loop only and front loop only (flo). This pattern uses US terminology
