Super Bulky Earflap Hat
Materials
2 skein Lamb's Pride Bulky (1 each of 2 different colors) US 15 needles (16" circular, and DP) US 10.5 needles in DP

Earflaps (make 2)
With size 15 circular needles and both colors of yarn held together, cast on 3 stitches. (WS) Purl 1 row. (RS) K1, M1, K to before the last stitch, M1, K1 (5 st) Repeat these 2 rows until you have increased to 11 stitches. Continue in stockinette stitch until work measures 4" from cast on row, ending just having worked a ws row. Break yarn and put stitches on a holder. Repeat for 2nd earflap.
Hat
With size 15 circular needles and both yarns held together, cast on 11 stitches. Pick up and knit 11 stitches fromone of the stitch holders. Cast on 15 stitches. Pick up and knit 11 stitches from the remaining stitch holder. You should have 48 stitches on the needle. Place a marker and join stitches, being careful not to twist. Knit 14 rounds.
Crown Decreases
Row 1: (K6, K2tog) repeat to end of round (42 stitches) Rows 2 &4:knit Row 3: (K5, K2tog) repeat to end of round (36 stitches) Row 5: (K4, K2tog) repeat to end of round (30 stitches) Row 6: (K3, K2tog) repeat to end of round (24 stitches) Row 7: (K2, K2tog) repeat to end of round (18 stitches) Row 8: (K1, K2tog) repeat to end of round (12 stitches) Row 9: (K2tog) repeat to end of round (6 stitches) Row 10: (K2tog) repeat to end of round (3 stitches) Cut yarn and using a tapestry needle, draw through remaining stitches. Ties (make 2)
With size 10.5 DP needles and two strands of one yarn (your choice of color!) cast on 3 stitches. Work a 3 stitch I-cord for 7-8 inches. Repeat for 2nd tie.
Pom Poms (make 2)
With a pom pom maker and both colors of yarn held together, make a pom pom about 1.5"-2" in diameter. Repeat for 2nd pom pom.
Finishing
Attach ties to the bottom of each earflap. Attach pom poms to the bottom of each tie. Weave in ends.
