These socks can be knitted with either five double pointed needles, two circulars, or magic loop on one circular. It is best suited to solid or semi-solid yarns. Mine are knitted with Rio de la Plata $100\%$ superwash wool. Directions are given for size small with changes for medium and large in parenthesis. On the charts the additional stitches for the medium and large sizes are colored yellow and lavender. Add one color to knit a size medium, ad both colors to knit a size large. Most of the sections (cuff, gusset, instep/foot, toe) have instructions for double pointed needles followed by those for Magic Loop or two circulars. The heel doesn't have seperate instructions as the flap and heel turn are knitted flat. Each of the charts follow their written instructions. The foot and toe don't have charts. If you feel adventurous there is a chart for a carrot to be knit on the top of the foot and toe. It is purled on a knit background, the opposite of the carrots on the cuff.
