

This Rainbow Appliqué to crochet is very simple, and it makes for a very quick project. It takes the average crocheter about half an hour or less. This is a beginner level pattern, all you need to know how to do besides hdc is color-change! Also, It comes with a free cup cozy pattern aswell! 6 Colors of Yarn (Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple) OMake sure they look good together! Rainbow Appliqué
After each color, be sure to break yarn, leaving a long tail for sewing. With purple, Ch 2, and in second ch from hook, work 5 hdc. Ch 1, tur Row 1: with blue, in each st, hdc 2. Ch 1, turn. v 2: With green, \*2 hdc in first st, 1 hdc in next st\* rep 5 times. Ch 1, turn v 5: with red, \*2 hdc in first st, 1 hdc in next 4 sts\* rep 5 times. Ch 1, turn FO all colors and set aside.
Little White Cloud
Make two in white. Do NOT turn at the end of each round. Round 1: In magic ring, put in 10 hdc. Round 2: Put 2 hdc into each st around. Round 3: \*In one st, hdc, dc, hdc. In nxt st, sl st\* rep 10 times. Sl st in last st and FO, leaving a long tail to attach to rainbow.
Mug Cozy
Obtain a mug without any handles, and then ch 1 around the mug where you desire to place the mug cozy and stop as soon as the ends can touch each other. Work 1 hdc into each stitch, making sure not to bend or twist the ch sts. Work for about 7 rows high, and then FO, leaving a long tail. Attach each side to each other with the long tail, and then weave in all ends.
Assembly
Attach the clouds to the back of the rainbow, like in the pictures. Make sure that you can still see the ruffles. Then, making sure to hide the ends of the rainbow, attach the rainbow to the mug cozy. If you are not making the cozy, weave in all ends. If making the cozy, be sure that the rainbow is securely fixed to the cozy. And now you are all done, happy rainbow and everything! @
