Purse Pattern:

Measurements: 1" piece with flap 6' W, 10' H. Flap folded over 3 % ^ H. 2" piece 6' W, 5 % \* H. Strap 36' long. Tools: H hook, sewing needle. Caron Simply Soft Yarn. Gauge: 8 stitches and 6 rows = 2x2' square. Gauge pattern: Chain 10. Sc in second ch from hook, sc back across. Row 2: Ch 2 turn, sc in first stitch. “"Skip next stitch, hdc and sc in next stitch" Repeat across. Repeat row 2. Row 1: Ch 26 then sc back across. Rows 2-35: Ch 2, sc in first sc, skip 1 ch, "hdc and sc in next stitch, skip 1 ch" repeat across ending with hdc and sc. Finish off . Rows 2-21: Attach yarn on Row 1 beginning ch 26. Sc across. Repeat hounds-tooth stitch. Ch 1 at end of row 21. DO NOT FINISH OFF Single crochet around entire piece. When at flap end, measure out the middle and ch 4, skip 2 sc for buttonhole, finish single crochet around. strap: Ch 175. Slip stitch back across. Make 1. Sew up sides and attach strap.
