FINISHED MEASUREMENTS 23%/" wide, 19/2" circumference YARN Cotton Bam Boo Print by Classic Elite Yarns (52% cotton, 48% bamboo; 50 g = approx 130 yards) 1ball 3653 Strawberry Begonia NEEDLES Circular knitting needles (16") in size US 4 (3.5 mm) or size to obtain gauge. HEADBAND
Using Cable Cast-on Method, CO 117 sts. Place marker (pm) for BOR and join to work in the rnd being careful not to twist sts. Work in Gtr st for /s". Change to St st and work even until pc meas 2'/". Work in Gtr st until pc meas 23%/". BO all sts.
FINISHING
Block pcs to measurements. Petal (make12; 6 per flower) CO 8 sts. Row 1, 5, 7, 9 and 11(RS): Wyib, slip 1 st knitwise, K to end. Row 2,4,6,8,10,12, 14, 16, 18,20 and 22: wyif, slip 1 st purlwise,P to end. Row 3 (Eyelet row): wyib, slip 1 st knitwise, \*k1, yo; rep from \* to last st, k1 - 14 sts; 6 eyelets. Row 13: wyib, slip 1 st knitwise, k5, ssk, k6 - 13 sts. Row 15: wyib, slip 1 st knitwise, k4, ssk, k2tog, k4 - 11 sts. Row 17: wyib, slip I st knitwise, k3, ssk, k2tog, k3 - 9 sts. Row 19: wyib, slip 1 st knitwise, k2, ssk, k2tog, k2 - 7 sts. Row 21: wyib, slip 1 st knitwise, k1, ssk, k2tog, k1 - 5 sts. Row 23: Wyib, slip 1 st knitwise, sk2p, k1 - 3 sts. Row 24: P3tog. Cut yarn leaving a 4" tail and fasten off. Flower (make 2): \*with a 24" pc of yarn, folded in half and threaded through tapestry needle, weave through all eyelets in each of the six petals. With ws of flower facing, pull ends tightly and tie intoa squareknot. With ws of flower facing, weave in CO tails from petals, leaving 2 strands to attach flower to headband. Fold each petal in half and use BO tail from tip of petal to sew to center of flower on theWs. Rep from \* for second flower. Sew flowers to headband.

Slip designated sts from holders onto each of 2 needles; with the RS of garment pcs together (to form ridge on inside of garment), hold the needles parallel. with a third needle knit the first st of front and back needles together, \*knit next st from each needle together, (2 sts on RH needle), BO 1 st; rep from \* until all sts are BO.
Backward Loop Cast-on MethodW-L
\*Wrap yarn around left thumb from front to back and secure in palm with other fingers. Insert needle upwards through strand on thumb. Slip loop from thumb onto RH needle. pulling yarn to tighten. Rep from \* for desired numberof sts.
Cable Cast-on Method W-L
Place a slipknot on LH needle and kl, slip new st onto LH needle; \*insert RH needle between first 2 sts on LH needle, k1 from this position, leave the first st on LH needle and slip new st onto LH needle.Rep from \* for desired number of sts.
I-CordW-L
Using 2 dpns, slip sts onto one needle. \*Knit 1 row; without turning the work, slide the sts to RH end of needle, pull yarn tightly from the end of the row, (behind the sts); rep from \* until cord meas desired length.
