Yarn Originally used: 1 [1, 2, 2] skein(s) Inspirations Yarn: Classic sock ( $75\%$ Superwash wool, $25\%$ nylon, $100\mathrm{g}/$ 420 yds). Or Inspirations Yarn Green Tea $60\%$ Superwash, $30\%$ Bamboo, $10\%$ Nylon, $100~\mathrm{g/}$ 400 yds). Needles: size $3.0~\mathrm{mm}$ for foot, $3.25\ \mathrm{mm}$ for leg and cuff or needles needed to obtain gauge. Other Supplies: Darning needle Gauge: 28 st and 44 rows equal 4 inches in Stockinette Stitch on $3.0\ \mathrm{mm}$ needles, 34 st and 46 rows equal 4 inches on $3.25\ \mathrm{mm}$ needles in Pattern Stitches. Stitches and Abbreviations Used: $\mathrm{K}(1)\ –\ \mathrm{knit}$ that number of stitches, K2tog - knit two stitches together, K3tog - knit three stitches together M1 f make one stitch; (With LH Needle pick up horizontal strand between the last stitch and next stitch, knit it through the back loop); P(1) purl that number of stitches, P2tog - purl two stitches together, P3tog - purl three stitches together; PM - place marker, RS n right side of work, Sll slip one stitch knitwise fromleft to right needles without being worked, SSK - Slip stitch, slip $2\mathrm{nd}$ stitch (both knitwise) to right needle, slide back to left needle and knit together, Stockinette Stitch - Knit all stitches on right side, purl on wrong siue, 5 1(s) -sucn(es), w S - wrong siue of work. YB, yarn back YF -yarn forward Pattern Stitch: Round 1 S1, K1, YO, passthe slipped stitch over both the K stitch and YO, repeat across. Instructions are written for size small with othersizes shown in [ ]. If only one number is given it applies to all sizes. 2.) This pattern is designed from the toe up and is made with a short row toe and heel. It is adaptable for DPN, two circulars and the magic loop method. 3.) The nature of this stitch pattern is a tight weave, if you find afer a few rounds of the patten on the leg that it is too tight to fit comfortably over your ankle, you can either go up an additional needle size, or add stitches in increments of 4 to add extra circumference. Cast on toe as follows: Using waste yarn do a provisional crochet chain cast on chaining 4 more than needed for toe, pick up 22 [28, 34, 42] stitches with a single smaller size needle for all methods then in the following manner: $\mathrm{Purl}\ 1$ row with sock yarn Row 1: (RS) K 21[27, 33, 41] sts, YF, slip next stitch to RH needle, Turn Row 2: (WS) Sl first stitch, P 20[26, 32, 40] sts, YB, sl next stitch to RH needle, Turn. Row 3: Knit to 1 st before last wrapped stitch, YF, sl next stitch, YB, place slipped stitch back on LH needle, Turn. Row 4: Purl to 1 stitch before last wrapped stitch, YB, sl next stitch, YF, place slipped stitch back on LH needle, Turn. Repeat rounds 3 and 4 until 4[8, 12, 16] stitches remain unwrapped, end by working WS row. Reverse short row shaping: (note by picking up your wraps they will lok neater as you K or P them with the live stitch.) DPN - Split the stitches evenly between two needles, so that there are 11 [14, 17, 21] on each needleCarefully taeout provisional ast pick up the loops and placing 11 [14, 17,21] stitches on each needle. Giving you a total of44, [56, 68, 84] stitches divided between 4 DPN. 2 Circs or ML: Leave stitches on needle, take 2nd needle and carefully take out provisional cast on pick up 22 [28, 34, 42] stitches, for a total of 44, [56, 68, 84]st. Foot: All methods - Knit in ST. st until foot measures 7.5[8.25, 9, 9.75] inches or desired length, approx. 2 inches less than total foot length. Short Row Heel: Work back and forth in rows over one halfof the stitches, same as for toe. DPN: Place 22 [28, 34, 42] stitches on one needle, leaving the other 22 [28, 34, 42] stitches divided on 2 needles. 2 Cires or ML: You will be working with 1 needle only, the other stitches will be unworked. Round 4: Knit All methods: Repeat 4 patem rounds to desired leg length. End afer R2 or R4. Choose cuff style: Picot or Ribbed as follows: ForPiotCuffKniinSttroudso YO, across all stitches. Knit 7 rounds St st. Cast off Loosely, using larger needle if necessary. Fold over cuff at Picot Cuff; whipstitch to inside of sock, loosely. Sew in ends at toe and cuff. For Ribbed Cuff: Work 22 rounds of K1, P1 ribbing for cuffand cast offloosely. Sew in ends at toe and cuff. Repeat all directions for second sock.
