County Kerry Cowl: A Super-Warm, Bulky Knit Project with Reversed Cable Pattern and Vintage Buttons

County Kerry Cowl

This is a super-warm, super-bulky, super-delicious cowl I knitted for my friend Jane. The wool's slubby texture works really well with the 'knobbly-ness' of the reverse cable, I am very happy with theway itworked out. The buttons came from my Irish nanna's long saved button collection (mostly from raincoats!) so good to put them out in the world again. Needle size: 8mm / US 11 2 skeins of super bulky wool / Moda Vera Fiamonne 4 buttons, sized to fit through the knit mesh (no button holes made)
