One skein of yarn was used in the scarf in the above photograph. Entire Scarf: 54" long. Scarf itself: 6" wide. Ruffle: 6" long x 13" wide. MATERIALS: Universal Yarn - Heathers (95% wool - 5% polyamide) 1 skein needed (214 yds) - Color 302: Fancy Size 10 (9" long straight or 16" long circular) needles (your choice) (you will be knitting back & forth in garter stitch)
INSTRUCTIONS:
FIRST RUFFLE: Cast on 44 stitches. Knit for 6". NEXT ROW: Knit 2 together. Repeat across. (22 sts) Knit on these 22 sts. for 42". SECOND RUFFLE: Inc. in each st across. (44 sts). Knit on these 44 sts. for 6". Bind off loosely. (You will need approx. 50" to bind off with.) NOTE: Sometimes going up a size or two in needles. will help your bind off to be looser without any effort on your part. Weave in all ends.
