The Accidental Jellyfish
These jellyfish mittens happened when I was working on a colourwork design with some swirls and all my swatches ended up looking like a jellyfish. EventuallyI gave up and decided to knit one up. With this pattern I wanted to share my notes on making the jellyfish. This means that this is a rudimentary pattern:it includes stitch counts, a suggestion fora short cuff with a rolled edging and charts with an afterthought thumb. If you have knit mittens before, the instructions should be enough but if you are inexperienced with mittens, the amount of instructions might make it difficult to knit this pattern. Size: circumference 21 cm (8 1/5"), height 28 cm (11") Gauge: 28 sts and 34 rows = 10 cm / 4" Yarn: CC: Lang Yarns Jawoll Magic 6-fach (75% wool, 25% nylon), 420 m / 150 grams, shown in 89.0055 BC: BC Garn Semilla (100% organic wool), 160 m / 50 grams, shown in Teal The sample used 40 grams of both colours.
