One skein Lion Brand Wool Ease Solids & Heathers {80% acrylic, 20% wool; 197yds/180m per 85g} US 8 / 5.0mm 16" circular needle US 9 / 5.5mm 16" circular needle and dpns Tapestry needle to weave in ends.
Abbreviations:
BO = bind off CO = cast on K = knit K2Tog = knit two together P = purl Sl = slip stitch STS = stitches
Gauge:
20 sts x 26 rows = 4"
Directions:
Using smaller needles, CO 80 sts. Rows 1-10: \*k2, p2\* repeat to end of round. Row 11: Switch to larger needles, and k around. Row 12: \*k1,p1\* around Row 13: k around Repeat rows 12 & 13 until hat measures 9-10" from CO edge. Vary your length to vary how slouchy this hat ends up.
Decreases:
Row 1: k2tog around (40 stitches) Row 2: k around Row 3: k2tog around (20 stitches) Row 4: k around Row 5: K2tog around (10 stitches) Break yarn, weave thread through all live stitches, and weave in ends.
