Cast on 150 $2\,\mathrm{x}2$ ribbing for 2 inches After knitting the 2 inches then bind off 13 stitches. Join together Place marker and K 10 rows WS for 3 rows K 20 rows WS for 3 rows K 2 rows Decreasing Rows $1^{\mathrm{st}}$ K15 ssk rep to end 2md K14 ssk rep to end 3rd knit 1 row 4rh K13 ssk rep to end 5h K12 ssk rep to end 6th knit 1 row 7th K11 ssk rep to end 8th K10 ssk rep to end 9gh knit 1 row 10th K3 ssk rep to end Repeat rows 9 and 10 four times. $15^{\mathrm{th}}$ K1 sk rep to end 16th and 17th k2tog 2 rows
Finishing Break yarn. Draw yarn through remaining stitches. Pull closed. Weave loose ends in. To close flap, attach a button, pin, or ribbon to close the gap in the brim of the hat. Enjoy! @Molly Reece 2010
