Finishing:
Weave in ends. Felt in your washing machine with hot water. Note: Felting is caused primarily by agitation. You may need to wash your mittens 3-4 times before they shrink enough. Try stopping your washer before it gets to the rinse cycle, then reset it to go through the wash cycle again. Repeat until your mittens are the right size. They will shrink twice as much in the length as the width. When still wet, you can stretch or shape them to size. Dry your mittens by laying them flat for 1-2 days. Add embroidery on the back of each mitten to create a left and a right hand. Over time, the felt will shape to your hands Idea: For men's hunting mittens, you can cut a slit after felting, for the trigger finger. Once felted, knitting with not unravel!
