Hat With Small Bobbles in Size Adult

Hat Circumference: to fit a lady with the head circumference of 21"-23" Hat Height: 8"
Materials:
\* 1/2 ball of Hobby Lobby "I Love This Yarn" 100% acrylic yarn in Hot Rose or any other #4 medium worsted yarn (10ply) \* US #8 (5 mm) circular needles (16"long) \* US #8 double-pointed needles (a set of 4 or 5) to shape the crown \* amarker \* a tapestry needle Gauge: ~ 4.5 sts per 1" in stockinette stitch
Instructions:
Cast on 84 sts, place a marker and join in the round. Work in k1, p1 ribbing for 1.5" slipping the marker at the beg of every round. Knit next round and evenly increase 6 sts as follows: \*k14, m1; rep from \* to end of round. (90 sts) Then work in Small Bobbles Rib stitch slipping the marker at the beg of every round as follows: (Multiple of 9 for working in the round) Round 1: \*k4, p2, MB, p2; rep from \* to end of round. Rounds 2, 3 and 4: \*k4, p5; rep from \* to end of round. Note: MB - [purl 1, knit 1, purl 1, knit 1] all into the next stitch, then pass the first 3 of these stitches, one at a time, over the 4th stitch (the last stitch you made) on RH needle. First, insert the tip of LH needle into the 3rd stitch on RH needle - the stitch that you made before the last 4th st (pic.1). Then, pass it over the 4th stitch - the last stitch on RH needle (pic.2). Then, pass the 2nd and then the 1st stitches over the 4th stitch in the same manner. A bobble is made. (pic. 3)

pic. 3 Rep Rounds 1-4 three more times, then work only Round 1 (the one withbobbles). Then, knit every round until hat measures 5.5" from the cast on row. Beg decreases for the crown as described below. Remember to slip the marker at the beg of every round and change to double-pointed needles whennecessary: Round 1: \*k8, k2tog; rep from \* to end of round. Round 2 and all even rounds: knit all sts. Round 3: \*k7, k2tog; rep from \* to end of round. Round 5: \*k6, k2tog; rep from \* to end of round. Round 7: \*k5, k2tog; rep from \* to end of round. Round 9: \*k4, k2tog; rep from \* to end of round. Round 11: \*k3, k2tog; rep from \* to end of round. Round 13: \*k2, k2tog; rep from \* to end of round. Round 15: \*k1, k2tog; rep from \* to end of round. Cut yarn, leaving a long tail. With a tapestry needle, pull the tail through remaining sts and secure. Hide loose ends.
