Toddler Bucket Hat

Materials:
1 skein Kraemer Yarns, Little Lehigh (3.5 oz, DK weight, 250 yds), Color: Peek-a-boo (uses full skein) Size G Crochet Hook $(4.25\,\mathsf{m m})$ Stitch Marker (optional) 6 yds coordinating DK or worsted weight yarn (for optional flower) Gauge: 15 sts x 9 % rows $=4^{\prime\prime}$ in dc Stitches used (American terms): Ch - Chain Sc - Single Crochet Dc - Double Crochet SI St - Slip Stitch Dc Dec - Double Crochet Decrease (yarn over, insert hook into next stitch and pull through a lop, yarn over, pull yarn through 2 loops on hook, yarn over, insert hook into next stitch, yarn over, pull yarn through 2 loops on hook, yarn over, pull yarn through remaining 3 loops on hook) HINT: For a smoother join, ch 2 at the beginning of each round on the double crochet rounds.
NOTE: Unless otherwise stated in pattern, use both loops of the previous row's stitches when making stitches.

Round 1: Ch3, dc 11 in third ch from hook, sl stto join. Place markerto mark the beginning of each round, and move it up on each row. (24 dc) Round 3: Ch 3, dc in same st, \*dc in next 2 dc, 2 dc in next dc, repeat from \* around, dc in last 2 dc, sl st to join. (32 dc) Round 4: Ch 3, dc in same st, \*dc in next dc, 2 dc in next dc, repeat from \* around, dc in last 3 dc, sl st to join. (48 dc) Round 5: Ch 3, dc in same st, \*dc in next dc, 2 dc in next dc, repeat from \* around, dc in last 4 dc, sl st to join. (72 dc) Round 6: Ch3, dc in same st, \*dc in next 3 dc, 2 dc in next dc, repeat from \* around, dc in last 3 dc, sl st to join. (89 sc) Round 21: Ch 1, sc in same st, $^*\mathtt{s c}$ in next 2sc, 2sc in next sc, repeat from \* around, sc in last sc, sIst to join. (118 sc) Round 22: Ch 1, sc in the each st around. Round 23: Ch 1, sc in same st, $^*\mathtt{s c}$ in next4sc,2sc in next sc, repeat from \* around, sc inlast2sc, slsttojoin.(141 sc) Round 24-27: Repeat round 22. Fasten off and weave in ends.
Optional Flower:
Ch 2, sc 10 times in 2 ch from hook, slst to join. Ch 1, sc in same st, \*ch 2, 3 triple crochet (yarn over hook twice, insert hook into stitch, pullthrough yarn, [yarn over, pull yarn through 2 loops on hook], repeat twice more) in next sc, ch 2, sc in next sc. Repeat from \* around 4 times, ch 2, sl st into beginning sc. Fasten off, leaving a long $8^{\prime\prime}$ tail for sewing on the flower. Weave in the beginning end, and sew the flower to the lower edge of the hat.
