Baby scarf-shawl
Material :
Soft baby-compatible yarn (I used DROPS Baby Merino, 2 threats together) Circular knitting needles (4.5 - 5mm size for doubled DROPS Baby Merino) Yarn in contrast color for 4 pompoms + 2 rows of the scarf-shawl

Techniques:
Garterstitch Kfb (increase technique, knitting through the front and the back of the same stitch) Cast on & bind of (for beginning and end as well as for a hole)
Instructions:
Shawl-part:
Cast on 5 stitches, knit all for 2 rows. \*R1: kfb, knit all till end R2: kfb, knit all till end\* Repeat those until you reach 66 stitches.

Scarf-part:
R1: C0 18 stitches, turn work and knit all till the end (=84 stitches) R2: C0 18 stitches on the other side, turn work and knit all till the end ()102 stitches) Knit all for 16 rows (creating 8 ridges). Knit for 88 stitches, bind off 6 stitches, knit 8.

Knit 8, cast on 6, knit 88. (you have created the hole through which the other scarf-side canlaterbepulled) Knit for another 4 rows (creating 2 ridges). Knit 1 row in the contrast color. Bind off in the contrast color.
Finishing:
Seam in the ends. Fold over the scarf part so it's doubled over the shawl part (with the right side visible). Saw them thus together with just a few invisible stitches. Saw on the last pompom on the tip of the shawl part (l put it so low it 'hid' the tip, but whatever you like works of course).
