AT LAST
$\infty$ At Last
My love has come along My lonely days are over And life is like a song Oh yeah yeah, at last The skies above are blue My heart was wrapped up in clover The night I looked at you And I found a dream that I can call my own I found a thrill to press my cheek to A thrill that I have never known Oh yeah yeah, and you smile, you smile Oh, and then the spell was cast And here we are in Heaven For you are mine at last -Glenn Miller 1941 Imagine singing about your much longed for true love... now imagine singing about your most adored skein of yarn... still works doesn't it? ... 'I found a thrill to press my cheek to... For you are mine at last'?. I love you Etta! Ihope that you'll enjoy knitting At Last. Thank you!

Hand
Place the center 22 thumb gusset stitches onto a piece of scrap yarn. The remaining 2 stitches on either side will be used to bridge the gap in the established pattern, when joining hand stitches in the round. Using the remaining stitches on the needles, work in the lace rib pattern for 5 repeats (20 rounds) or until hand is desired length. Bind off using sewn bind-off. Begin thumb.
Thumb
Pick up 22 thumb gusset stitches from the scrap yarn and place on dpns as follows: needle #1 - 3sts, needle $\#2-6$ sts, needle $\#3\mathrm{~-~}4$ sts, needle $\#4-6$ sts. With $\Nu\#5$ pick up the remaining 3 sts, then pick up 2 additional sts to bridge the gap. Transfer these 5 sts to N #1 $\mathbf{\nabla}\mathbf{N}\#\mathbf{l}=8$ sts). Rd 1: Work in established pattern, needles #1, 2, & 4 in purl, and needle # 3's 4sts in lace (k2tog, yo twice, s1, k1, psso ) for one round. Rd 2: Work in established pattern, needles #1, 2, & 4 in purl, and needle # 3's 4 sts in lace ( k1, pl, k2), but at the same time decrease by p2tog the first two stitches on needle #1 and ssp the last two stitches on needle #1. Rd 3: Work in established pattern, needles #1, 2, & 4 in purl, and needle # 3's 4 sts in lace ( k4 ), but at the same time decrease by p2tog the first two stitches on needle #1 and ssp the last two stitches on needle #1. Rd 4: Work in established pattern, needles #1, 2, & 4 in purl, and needle # 3's 4 sts in lace (k4), but at the same time decrease by p2tog the first two stitches on needle #1 and ssp the last two stitches on needle #1. Rd 5: Work remaining two stitches on needle #1 by p2tog. (17 thumb sts) Bind off using sewn bind-off.

Repeat for matching mitt. Block. Ribbed design fits most. Adjust yarn & needle size for a broader size range. Mitts may be made to any length by increasing the cuff rounds, in 4 round increments and wider with additional 6 stitch repeats of the established pattern.
