I-cord Bind Off (3-stitch)
At beginning of round, cast on 3 st using backward loop method with scrap yarn (provisional cast-on). K2, K2togtbl. Slip last two stitches from RH needle to LH needle and repeat until all stitches on LH needle are bound off. Remove provisional cast-on yarn placing three live stitches on a needle. Graft (ktichener) three stitches from each end of round.
Misc.
-- The thumb shaping looks a little baggy in the photo and in real life. The pattern above is written with a few less stitches across the thumb area than in the prototype to eliminate some of this bagginess. -- You are encouraged to try the mitt(s) on as you go and make alterations you desire to fit your hand.It is recommended that the lace pattern be used in full sets (plus one knit row) for the integrity of that design.
