Circ Bunnie recipe.. By Cathy Rubin
You need to make two; they get a little lonely on their own...
Ingredients:
8ply/DK weight yarn and a contrast colour for eyes, nose and tail. (60 yds) 4mm 30cm circular needles or double pointed needles. Polyester Stuffing.
Suggested Yarns:
I recommend a yarn with 80% or more wool content for softness and spring. Also when making the pom poms, cotton yarns are harder to maintain the proper stabilisation for the "tail".

Example knitted in Jolly Jumbuck gradual gradient and Woolganic 8ply Knitters yarn. @ Cathy Rubin, 2012 Australia.
Method
Cast On 50sts, join in the round making sure you don't twist stitches. Knit 45 rows. Row 46: k7, place these stitches on a stitch holder, k18, place these stitches on a stitch holder, and place last 7 stitches onto stitch holder, K18. Flat knitting of ears: using the 18 stitches on your needle; (WS)purl 1 row (RS)knit 1 row repeat 10 times to make 20 rows. Alternatively, you can join in the round and using small diameter knitting methods (magic loop or dons) work the "ears" in this fashion. Gently cast off. Repeat with other 18 stitches. Graft the 2 lots of 7 stitches between the ears together (kitchen stitch or otherwise), this is the top of the "head". Sew in seams on the ears, leave opening at base for stuffing. Close using mattress stitching after stuffing. Make a pom pom for tail in contrast colour and then with same wool, detail bunnie with eyes and nose.
