MATERIALS LIST

Yarn: approximately 112 [224] yards sport-DK weight yarn. I used Blue Moon Fiber Arts Gaea Sport, colorway Ochroid. Needles: US5/3.75mm needles for working flat, or size needed to get gauge. Notions: safety pins, tapestry needle.

GAUGE

24 sts = 4"/10 cm in stockinette stitch, 20 sts = 4"/10 cm in garter stitch, measured after blocking.

SIZE/FINISHED MEASUREMENTS

Short [long]: 7" circumference after seaming, 6 [12]" long. Circumference is easily adjustable. Mitts are shown in short and long sizes.

PATTERN NOTES

The mitts are knit flat and seamed. garter stitch Knit every row. PATTERN ABBREVIATIONS st, sts: stitch, stitches.

INSTRUCTIONS

Cast on 30 [60] sts using long tail cast-on (or any stretchy caston you prefer). Work in Garter Stitch for 7". Bind off all stitches, leaving a 12 [24]" tail for seaming.

Seam edges together using mattress stitch or desired method, leaving 2.5" hole for the thumb 0.5" from the top of the mitt. Repeat full instructions for second mitt, offsetting it to the left.

Weave in all ends and block as desired. wearing Fold mitts for function, leave them long for warmth.
