Ribbing

Note on all charts:
Carry the unused yarn loosely with you. Otherwise the two-stranded pattern will become too tight. Sandra Jaeger Oct. 2013 For individual, non-commercial use only Knit chart 1. Note: for bigger sizes add 1 - 2 rows of red stripe pattern in each red stripe sectiol Knit chart 2, starting in the middle of the chart (red marking), decreasing 4 stitches as follows \* Knit 34 stitches, knit 2 stitches together \*. Repeat \* (140 stitches are on your needles).

Chart 1 (12-stitch repeat) Each round starts with the red marked stitch in the middle of the chart, then knit all pyramid stitches left of the red marking, knit stitch from separate line of stitches (= bar stitch), knit all pyramid stitches left of the bar stitch until you reach the red marking again. Continue in this way all around the beanie. At the Arrows (→ ) you knit as described above but when you reach the box with the arrow you slip the next two stitches knitwise together, knit next stitch in bar stitch color and pull slipped stitches over the knitted stitch. Then you continue with the pyramid stitches left of the bar stitch.
Chart 2 (starts with a 20-stitch repeat)

After the chart 14 stitches are remaining. round: \* knit two stitches together in white \*. Repeat \* (7 stitches are remaining.) Break yarn. Draw yarn through the remaining stitches. Pull the yarn through the center and weave in all ends. If you like it to be more sloppy, rinse it in cold water, put it on a balloon, ball or stuff it with a wrapped towel and let it dry.
