Basic knowledge is needed for this pattern. A dedicated beginner should be able to complete this pattern. I have included a list of common abbreviations used in this pattern below. This pattern is written in US terms. Gauge is critical. You may need to go up or down a hook size depending on your tension. Use appropriate hook size to get the correct measurement. This pattern has been tested! In order for this pattern to work it needs to be followed in the order that is written. I suggest making both soles first and then working the rest in order. Fnding the Center St...
Looking at the heel, find the center stitch. It should be where you fastened off.

1) A trick that I use to finding the center stitch is to fold the sole in half length wise. @Tadpoles and Lily pad Crochet Baby Flip Flop

Lelt Foot
Starting with the center st as your first st, count 8 (1o) sts on each side and mark with a st smarker for a total of 16 (20) sts. (See picture below) \* You will be turning your work at the end of each row. Row 1: Working in the BLO, attach CC to the marked st on the right side with a sl st. Sc in the same space as sl st. Sc in the next 15 (19) sts. Rows 2-7: Working through loops, ch 1, and sc across. 16 (20)

Ankle Strap
At the end of row 5, DO NOT fasten off. Loosely Ch 16 (18) . Sl st in the 5 th ch from hook, button loop made. Sl st down the remaining sts of the strap. Join to the last sc of the heel. Fasten off. 11 (13)

Attach button to the opposite side. @Tadpoles and Lily pad Crochet Baby Flip Flop

Fop part of shoe
Join with sl st in the 4 (5)th space over from the inner part of the strap. Sc in same space and nxt 2 (3) spaces. 3 (4)

Row 2: Ch 1, sc across 4 (5) sc 1 counts as a st. Row 3: You will be inc here. TURN, ch 1. 2 sc in first st. Sc in the next st (3) . 2 sc in the last st. 5 (7) Row 4: Turn, ch 1. (ch 1 counts as a st) 1 sc in first st. sc in the next 3 (5) sts. 2 sc in last st. Inc made. 7(9) Row 5: Turn, ch 1. Sc across 7 (9). Do not fasten off. @Tadpoles and Lily pad Crochet Baby Flip Flop
