Size:
Medium - to fit 20lb toddler Pattern is very stretchy, but if you need a bigger/smaller size the best way is to add/remove a pattern repeat. Dimensions: Gauge: 4.5 st/6 rows $\textnormal{\scriptsize=}\textnormal{\scriptsize1}^{\prime\prime}$ stockinette (knit flat, unwashed) 5 st/6.5 rows ${\o}=1^{\prime\prime}$ moss st (knit flat, unwashed) Garment length $=12.5^{\prime\prime}$ Body diameter $=7.5^{\circ}$ Leg width $=4^{\prime\prime}$ diameter Techniques: La-rinc and La-linc from Cat Bordhi for all increases. Knitting the round Cables Kitchener stitch I-cord/crochet chain Materiais: 1 skein Peace Fleece worsted (220yds) [or you can use any sturdy $100\%$ wool (not superwash), I found Brown Sheep Lamb's Worsted is also quite sturdy and stands up to the stress of being a soaker.] $16^{\prime\prime}$ circular needle - size 8 (orto get gauge) $8^{\prime\prime}$ circular needle/DPN/Magic loop - size 8 (or to get gauge) Cable needle Stitch markers Tapestry needle Crochet hook - size I (if you choose to do a crochet chain drawstring) Directions: CO 71 st. Join to work in the round. Waistband: Work in 1x1 rib for 4 rows. (Round will end on a k st) Eyelet round: (K2tog, YO) repeat to end. Work in 1x1 rib for 4 rows. Body: Setup round: la-rinc, (k1, p1) 6 times, k1, la-linc, PM, $\boldsymbol{^*}\mathrm{p}1$ , la-rinc, (k1, p1) 5 times, k1, la-linc, PM. Repeat from \* to end 5 times 83 st total. Begin working body chart, starting on row 2. Work chart for 2 repeats. (32 rounds). Work chart to row 7. Gusset: Work row 8, PM as follows (to denote gusset): work 20 sts, PM1, p1, PM2, work 41 sts, PM3, p1, PM4, work 20 sts to end. Inc round: continue to work in patt st. moving to gusset chart for increases between markers. Work to end of gusset chart inc only on odd rows. (You should have 9 st between gusset markers). Legs: Work to 1 st before PM2, place last 7 st you worked on a holder (crotch1). You will now need to switch to DPNs(or preferred small circumference method) to Work the leg. Removing gusset markers as you go and placing cable repeat markers as needed, work to 1 st after PM3. Put the next 7 sts on another holder (crotch2). You should have 43 st on your needles to work leg chart. Workto 2 st before beginning marker, k2tog [42 st). Work chart as many repeats as desired length requires (I did only did chart once). Work 5 rows of ribbing knitting the knit stitches and purling the purl stitches. Ribbing will low naturally from cabling. Bind off loosely. Repeat for $2^{\mathrm{nd}}$ leg.
Finishing:
Using kitchener stitch, graft the stitches from crotch 1 and crotch 2 together. If there are any holes left between the crotch and the legs, use the yarn ends to tighten them up. You definitely don't want any holes in that area to let moisture through. Using your leftover yarn, create a drawstring using either i-cord (continental/English) (4 stitch) or 3-4 strands of your yarn in a crochet chain. Be sureto use $100\%$ wool yarn as you don't want this material transferring moisture. Weave in all ends.

FC: slip the next 2 (k) stitches to the front, purl the next stitch, then knit the slipped stitches from cable needle BC: slip the next (p) stitch the back, knit the next 2 stitches, then purl the slipped stitch from cable needle FC start K K IP FC end P K K BC start P K K BC end K K P
