This shawl uses the mitered square technique. The shawl knits up as a square and then it is folded in half and tied around the neck like a bandana. It can be worn in many different ways and knit up in a variety of yarns. Begin Pattern: If using Kidsilk Haze, hold allfour strands together. If using Taos, hold one skein Taos and one skein Kidsilk Aura together. CO 3 stitches. Row 1: (RS): K1, YO, PM, K1, PM, YO, K1. Row 2: K Row 3: K to marker, YO, SM, K1, SM, YO, K to end. REP rows 2 - 3 until piece measures $30^{\prime\prime}$ on the diagonal or to desired size, making sure to leave enough yarn for binding off! BO and weave in ends. Then fold perpendicular to lacy diagonal as seen in diagram below.
