Size: TBD by Knitter: Shawlette:(at least 48" across neck edge) Shawl: (approx. 58" across neck edge) Materials: 1 ball KnitPicks Chroma Fingering 100 g (396 yds) Luau Color B 1 ball KnitPicks Palette Eggplant 50 g (231 yds)\*\*Color A(2 balls for fullsizedshawl) \*\* Any fingering-weight yarn will do One long #10 circular needle Stitch markers Abbreviations: K = Knit P = Purl M1 = Make a st in st just knitted by knitting in the front of the stitch and then knitting again in the back: Instructions: With color A, CO 4 stitches. K 6 rows garter. After 6th row, don't turn; pick up 4 stitches down long side of garter rectangle, and pick up 4 more stitches on CO edge for a total of 12 stitches on the needle. Turn. K4, M1 in 4'h st. repeat 2 more times. 15 sts. total. ROW 1 of CHART A for shawlette CHART B for shawl : Add Color B. \*Knit 3-st repeat. Place marker. Repeat from \* across 5 wedges, separated by markers. Purl 2"d row according to chart, inc where indicated. All even numbered rows are worked from left to right and are purled. All odd-numbered rows are worked from right to left and are knitted. Continue following CHART A though row 72 (91). Float between each knit st for an even, nicelooking back. (See photo of shawl back.) BO loosely. Finishing: Tie and weave in or trim all color change ends. Wash and block flat, taking care to pin stockinette side edge to reduce curling.
