Melofors : an alternating staggered double cable hat!
I'm an impulsive knitter. I rarely ponder beyond the compulsion to cast on, but with Melofors waited months in order to get the hat just right in my imagination before I began. I also overdyed the yarn I had on hand - I wanted ORANGE!! fall was coming & I needed a knit that was cabled and fabulous! It wasn't until after I'd created the prototype that I realized this hat had a variety of personalities: it can look chunky and gnarled in its unblocked form, blocked over a plate its a beret, and an extra repeat of the main chart creates a super slouchy version. My favorite, though, is when its blocked over something round (1 have an oversized Christmas ornament, but a bowl or balloon works just as Well)! Sizes: average [slouchy] adult
