Materials:
100 grams fingering weight sock yarn US 2 / 2.25mm circular/double-pointed needle(s) or size needed to obtain gauge Gauge: 32stitches and 12 rows to 4inches Ribbing : c/o 72 stitches and join, being careful not to twist. Knit 2, purl 2 ribbing for 20 rows Leg : Knit stockinette stitch until sock measure 8 inches from cast-on edge Optional Calf Shaping : Decrease 2 stitches at the beginning and end of the row when the sock measures 4 inches (from cast-on edge), 6 inches and 8 inches. Traditional Heel: Arange 34 stitches for your heel flap Row 1: slip 1 \*knit 1, slip 1 as if to knit\* repeat from \* to \* to end of row, turn

Row 2: slip 1, purl llstitches to end of row, turn Repeat these two rows until 35 rows have been knit (end as if to start a purl row next)
Round Heel:

Sturdy Toe (2-stranded):
The toe is knit ike Row 3 of the heel, alternating the sock yarn and reinforcing yarn with every stitch. Row 1: (alternating strands with every stitch) Ki, k2tog tbl(through back loop), knit across top of toe until last 3 stitches, k2tog, k1 Row 2: Knit all, alternating yarns with every stitch Knit these 2 rows until 44 stitches remain, then repeat Row 1 until 10 stitches remain. Use kitchener stitch to sew te stitches closed, sewing with both yarns held together, weave ends in separately.
