doggie baktus

Just like the real thing... but for your dog! Doggie Baktus is simple, and made just like the human version, except that increases happen every six rows instead of every four. This pattern is based on the Baktus pattern by Strikkelise. For more information, please see http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/baktus-scarf Used by permission. Yarn: Any lace or fingering weight yarn, I used Knit Picks Gossamer, a laceweight yarn. Needes size 4, or size that gives you the gauge and drape you desire foryour doggie's scaf. Gauge: not crucial; mine was approximately 11 rows and 6 sts to the inch in garter stitch Size: $22^{\bullet}$ long, 4" wide at the widest point. Mine ft my 10-pound doggies. Cast on 4 sts. Row 1 - 5: Knit Row 6 (rs): $\mathbf{k}2$ yo, k to end Row 7 (ws): k, working yo through the back loop. Repeat rows 2-7 until you have 25 sts on your needle (or more, if you want a longer, wider scarf for a bigger dog). Repeat rows 2-5 once more. Begin decreasing Row $\mathbf{8}(\mathbf{rs}){:}\,\mathbf{k}2,$ $\mathbf{k}2$ tog through the back loops. Rows 9 - 13: k Repeat rows 8-13 until you have 4 sts on the needle. Knit 5 more rows. Bind off. Weave in all ends.
