This is a really simple pattern that creates a lovely striped effect and a really cosy scarf. Yarn used: Debbie Bliss 'Stella' (60%silk, $20\%$ rayon, 20%cotton) in Lilac x 3 50g balls. 5mm needles Tension: 18 stitches and 30 rows of pattern $=$ 10cm2 Pattern: Cast on 24 stitches. Row 1: Knit one row Row 2: K5, P1, K5, P1, K5, P1, K5, P1, K5, P1 Row 3: Knit Row 4: K4, P1, K5, P1, K5, P1, K5, P1, K5, P1, K1 Row 5: Knit Row 6: K3, P1, K5, P1, K5, P1, K5, P1, K5, P1, K2 Row 7: Knit Row 8: K2, P1, K5, P1, K5, P1, K5, P1, K5, P1, K3 Row 9: Knit Row 10: K1, P1, K5, P1, K5, P1, K5, P1, K5, P1, K4 Row 11: Knit Row 12; P1, K5, P1, K5, P1, K5, P1, K5, P1, K5 These 12 rows form pattern. Repeat 34 times until scarf measures 150cm x 13cm, or until it's your desired length.
