This simple scarf is very easy to make.
Techniques Used:

Knit BEGINNER Purl Yarn over Jeny's Surprisingly Stretchy Bind-Off Yarn: 1 skein of Life's an Expedition Medieval Violets (80% Lambswool/Alpaca/Wool, 15% Rayon, 5% Nylon/Polyester), 2 oz [57 g]/100 yd [91 m] or other DK yarn. Needles: US 10.5 [6.5 mm] needle or size needed to obtain gauge Notions: Yarn needle Dimensions: 16 inches [41 cm] x 32 inches [81 cm], blocked. Gauge: 12 st/22 rows = 4" in St st, blocked. Be sure to check gauge.

BO bind off CO cast on kknit ppurl st(s) stitch(es) yo yarn over

INSTRUCTIONS: CO 3. Row 1: Knit. Row 2 and all even rows: Purl. Row 3: K1, yo, k1, yo, k1 (5 sts). Row 5: K2, yo, k1, yo, k2 (7 sts). Row 7: K3, yo, k1, yo, k3 (9 sts) Row 9: K3, yo, k3, yo, k3 (11 sts). Row 11: K3, yo, k5, yo, k3 (13 sts). Row 13: K3, yo, k7, yo, k3 (15 sts). Work in pattern as established until almost all of the yarn has been used. BO using Jeny's Surprisingly Stretchy Bind-off. Weave in ends. Block, using the method appropriate for your fiber conteni and being careful to open out the yo holes and to keep the edges straight.
