Air dc (Air Double Crochet): This is a clean way to start and finish rounds. Wrap yarn around hook 2 times ( or 2 YO), insert hook into desired stitch, and pull up loop, \*YO, pull through 2 loops\* twice. This is your first dc. On the last dc of the round, begin as with a normal dc, but stop when there are still 2 loops on the hook. Drop yarn. Pull yarn carefully from top of Air dc in first stitch and use that yarn to finish the last dc. Pull that yarn end through, thread on a needle, insert front to back in top of first complete stitch (this is the 2nd stitch in the round), then straight down in the top of the final stitch you made, completing the top of the Air dc and the round at the same time. Puff : YO, insert hook in stitch, pull up loop (3 loops on hook), \*YO, insert hook in same stitch pull up loop\* 3 times, (9 loops on hook), YO pullthrough all 9 loops, YO, pull through to close puff. Instructions:
Round 1.
With Color A make magic loop. In loop make \*puff ch2\* 8 times, attach with ss in first puff. Pull magic loop tight. 8 puffs, 8 ch2 spaces
Round 2.
Stretch loop on hook a bit and make \*puff ch1 puff\* in ch2 space 8 times. Finish Off. 16 puffs, 8 ch1 spaces.
Round 3.
Join color B with air dc in any ch1 space, (this counts as first dc in corner). \*Make corner in ch1 space (2dc ch2 2dc), skip puff, dc between puffs, hdc in next puff, 2 sc in ch1 sp, hdc in next puff, dc in space between 2 puffs, \* 4 times. Invisible Join. 40 stitches, 4 ch2 corner spaces.

Make Head:
With color A, Magic Loop, make (puff, ch 1) 6 times. Pull center magic loop end tight. ss in first puff, FO leaving a long tail (at least 10 in). Turn head over so puffiest side is facing up. Weave in tail from Magic Loop.
Sew head to square using long tail
Weave in all ends.

Pull gently to close making sure that stitch is the same size as other stitches 6. Insert needle straight down in the top of the final stitch you made, with needle going to back. completing the top of the Air dc and the round at the same time.
7. Finish off, and weave in 2 ends.

Magic Loop:
1. Hold yarn in left hand with tail on left side 2. Make a clockwise loop 3. Insert hook into loop front to back 4. Catch yarn and pull through 5. YO and pull through 6. Be sure when you work in the ring that you catch the ring and the tail. 7. Pull the tail to tighten the ring.
Puff: (note: be sure to keep the loops loose on the hook.)
1. YO, Insert hook in stitch (or magic loop) 2. YO, Pull up loop(3 loops on hook) 3. \*YO, insert hook in same stitch, YO, pull up loop\* (5 loops on hook)
6. repeat \* to \* 2 more times, (9 loops on hook)
7. YO pull through all Ic
8. YO pull through to close puff.
