We have long, cold, snowy winters here in the upper Midwest, so when spring flowers start to bloom, oh boy do we love them! This versatile cowl is made with a soft blend of wool and silk knit in a loose gauge. We think it is the perfect spring accessory. Spring has sprung!

Instructions

Cast on 129 stitches Set up row: wrong side (WS) k6, pm, knit to last 6 stitches, pm, k6 Next row: right side (RS) k6, sm, knit to marker, sm, k6 Begin 12 row Chevron/Eyelet Lace Pattern written instructions below, or use the chart on the following page. Row 1, 5,9: (RS) k6, sm, (k4, dbl inc#1, k4, dbl dec) x9, k4, dbl inc#1, k4, sm, k6 Row 2 & every WS row except 12: k6, sm, p2tog, p to last 2 sts before marker, p2togtbl, sm, k6 Row 3, 7, 11: (RS) k6, sm, (k4, dbl inc#2, k4, dbl dec) x9, k4, dbl inc#2, k4, sm, k6 Row 12: (WS) k6, sm, k2tog, knit to 2 stitches before marker, k2togtbl, sm,k6 Repeat the 12 row Chevron/Eyelet Lace pattern 4 more times for a total of 5 times worked. Pattern Tips & Notes

This pattern uses over 10o grams of yarn. If substituting yarn, please be cautious of that. If you need to use less yardage, we suggest only repeating the 12 row Chevron/Eyelet Lace pattern 4 times total. We finished this cowl off with a pedestal button for flexibility. You can certainly put in button holes though!
