
Cooseberry Hat
PATTERNINFORMATION
This cute hat features rolled bottom edge, wide ribbed pattern and a knotted i-cord on top. The size is easy to adjust by using different weight yarn. (Originally published in 2007, revised in 2012)
FINISHED SIZE
Hat measures approx. 16" / 41 cm in circumference, to fit a baby. Height 6 /4" / 16 cm
YARN
148 yds / 135 m Sport-weight yarn of your choice. The sample is knitted using Novita Bambu; 148 yds / 135 m per 50 g skein; 68 % bamboo, 32 % cotton.
NEEDLES&NOTIONS
· US Size 4 / 3,5 mm double pointed needles or a long circular needle for Magic Loop-technique. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge. · stitch marker · tapestry needle for weaving in the yarn ends

24 sts and 36 rows in St st = 4" / 10 cm

Next rnd: \* K12, p12; rep from \* around. Continue in ribbing until work measures approx. 5"/ 13 cm.
Begin crown decreases
Rnd 1: \* Ssk, k8, k2tog, p2tog, p8, p2tog; rep from \* around - 80 sts. Rnd 2: \* K10, p10; rep from \* around. Rnd 3: \* Ssk, k6, k2tog, p2tog, p6, p2tog; rep from \* around - 64 sts. Rnd 4: \* K8, p8; rep from \* around. Rnd 5: \* Ssk, k4, k2tog, p2tog, p4, p2tog; rep from \* around - 48 sts. Rnd 6: \* K6, p6; rep from \* around. Rnd 7: \* Ssk, k2, k2tog, p2tog, p2, p2tog; rep from \* around - 32 sts. Rnd 8: \* K4, p4; rep from \* around. Rnd 9: \* Ssk, k2tog, p2tog, p2tog; rep from \* around - 16 sts.
